These is the first and fast storyboard of my story. I love to stick to the idea that the world is one big building and Germany is one floor - I also take the basement (don´t care) and the countrys are conected by elevators... abit like the Starship Enterprise Hollowdeck (how ever you spell it).
Back to my storyboard: Not everything is well-thougth-out and nothing is unchangeble. I´m comfortable with 12 pages: 1 cover page + 10 page story + last page/ map of the floor. This might be the way it would work! Or we try 16 pages: 1 cover + 1 page imprint + 1 pages bastard title + 12 pages story + last page / map.
The Format: I don´t like to go for A4 - it´s very boring and for a booklet of 12 or 16 page it is to big -- let try a smaller format like 26cm x 17 cm.
Cool storyboard
Hi Nele,
I love your character storyboard, this is so cool! I've never thought of doing anything like this, but it's definitely works and you did really well designing it.
As a progression from our email discussion, I'll send you a sketches of the character from Malaysia. Although I think you've done a pretty good job with the chicken character here. And also, as the chicken character came from Malaysia (and working in Germany), he will also be talking in English, and you can even make him speak in your language too.
As for the final format, we definitely can make it into smaller size. We don't have to follow the standard A4. It's just the original working artwork is up to each other's preferences. e.g: for myself I might be working on A3 size paper and later I'd downscale it to our final printing size and format.
Cheers!
Faezal.
